Norman Pattiz and Tom Webster announced the results of various comprehensive studies that Edison Research had conducted for PodcastOne earlier this year. Pattiz is the executive chairman of PodcastOne and Webster is the vice president of Strategy at Edison Research.

The advertising tests were conducted with five different products and services from five consumer brands. The study was conducted over the last six months of last year. It was the first-ever podcast advertising brand-lift of its kind. More than half of the listeners were able to recall a particular grocery brand after the campaign compared to 7% before the study.

The research firm conducted three separate studies for the podcast network to determine the impact of podcast advertising. Online surveys were conducted before and after the campaigns ran. The findings showed that the audiences were receptive to the brand messages and showed more willingness to buy the advertised brands.
