Famous Jewish Billionaire Soros Outspoken Against Israeli Violence

Here in the United States, politicians always speak positively about Israel. It is a transparent attempt to woo the Jewish vote with inside the United States. But if you take a good objective look at the actions of Israel, you may not have such a favorable point of view on the country. It turns out that much of the world sees Israel as a militant state that is a threat to peace. It turns out, Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip is downright horrific.

Human rights violations are perpetuated in the Gaza Strip because Israel has a strong ally in the United States. But it is refreshing to see powerful Jewish people inside the United States speak out against the treatment of the Gaza Strip by Israel. These outspoken critics are Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and 86-year-old hedge fund billionaire George Soros.

George Soros has reason to be concerned about Israel’s treatment of Gaza. The 86 world Jewish man was just a young boy when the Nazis came into his hometown of Budapest. His father had to pull out all of the stops to protect his family. He liquidated the family’s wealth in order to secure false documents that changed the family name to Soros. This allowed a young George Soros to avoid the Holocaust.

When the war came to an end, the Soros family emigrated to London. George Soros took on a variety of low-paying jobs, including railroad porter and restaurant waiter. He combined his meager wages with a small scholarship secured from a Quaker organization to put himself through college. He then got to work in the British stock markets. George Soros shorted the British pound on one fateful day to earn himself over $1 billion overnight. The entire world started calling him the man who broke the Bank of England. He grew that wealth to become the 19th wealthiest man in the world, according to Forbes magazine. And ever since he became incredibly wealthy, he has been giving back through a variety of nonprofit organizations. He has even set up his own network of nonprofits called the Open Society Foundations.

George Soros knows exactly what it feels like to be persecuted for no reason. It is the very reason he is so vocal for the Syrian refugees during this tumultuous crisis. It is also the reason why he urges Israel to scale back its military operations in Gaza. He knows that Israel’s actions are only creating more violence and perpetuating hate.

Of course George Soros wants to see the success of Israel and peace in the region. He just does not agree with the current plan of action that perpetuates violence in the region and he is outspoken about it.
